Spring Homeschool Day: The Dirty World of Soil (May 23rd)
This event is at our Iron Station Farm Location: Berry Hill Farm
We're opening our field trip programs to home-schooling families or families interested in learning more about agriculture. On this day we will examine the properties and components of our soil and explore its importance on our farm. We will examine the layers of soil underneath our feet and look at the practices we use to take care of our soil. Everyone will also get to pick a quart of strawberries.
This program is intended for 3rd - 5th graders though all ages can learn and enjoy.
Parents do not need to purchase a ticket. Additional strawberries may be purchased at our market if parents wish to pick their own.
Refund/Inclement Weather Policy- Refunds are available until 14 days before the event. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled with several dates/times available for people to choose from. No refunds will be issued in the case of inclement weather.
